At Bungalow, we’re looking for more than someone who can produce a set of drawings. We’re looking for an Interior Designer who is technically strong, highly organized, and genuinely invested in seeing good design become reality.

You’ll work closely with our team to move residential projects from concept through construction. You’ll translate design intent into accurate, thoughtful, and buildable documentation; develop plans, elevations, sections, details, and millwork drawings; support material and finish selections; assist in coordinating procurement, maintaining project information; and communicate with contractors, trades, suppliers, and consultants.

You’ll also help keep projects moving behind the scenes. This means anticipating what needs to happen next, identifying gaps or inconsistencies, coordinating revisions, keeping documentation current, and contributing to the systems and processes that help our studio work efficiently.

This role sits at the intersection of design, technical execution, and project coordination. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and problem-solve, while working within established design direction and studio standards. We’re looking for someone who wants to understand the bigger picture, not simply complete a drawing, but understand how their work supports the project as a whole.

Success in this role means your work can be trusted. Your drawings are accurate and buildable, documentation is organized and current,



and design intent is clearly communicated to the people executing it. Procurement and project details are proactively managed, issues are identified early, and commitments are followed through. You take ownership of your work and communicate clearly when something needs attention.

You’ll join a small team of three strong, opinionated women who care deeply about the work, each other, and the standards we set. We’re looking for someone who can step confidently into that dynamic, someone grounded, self-aware, and comfortable contributing their own point of view. You don’t need to agree with everything or have all the answers, but you do need to communicate directly and respectfully, receive feedback without defensiveness, and know when to take ownership, collaborate, or ask for clarity.

Skills & Experience

- Degree in Interior Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of drafting experience (residential preferred).
- Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with project management software is an asset.
- Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and materials.
- Familiarity with local building codes is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
- Customer service experience is an asset.

Position Details

- Full-time.
- Must be a current resident of Winnipeg.
- Adaptable hybrid schedule (office + remote).
- Available weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional early mornings or evenings.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for site visits.
- PPE required for site work when applicable.
