About The Position The Intermediate Electrical Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on numerically controlled and electrical/mechanical machines, as well as general building maintenance. They will also be required to monitor the projects under their responsibility and ensure that deadlines are met.

Preventive Maintenance

- Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment in the event of breakdown or shutdown;
- Test and observe electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systems using testing and measuring devices;
- Perform all required tasks according to service priorities in compliance with current standards.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the automatic palletizing system.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery by conducting visual inspections, lubricating, changing or adjusting oil levels, checking belt tension, draining compressors, etc.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on certain equipment in other departments (warehouse and other facilities).
- Use the SAP system for consultation, planning, and confirmation of work orders.
- Ensure that deadlines are met and that work orders under your responsibility are carried out.

Corrective Maintenance

- Disassemble and clean defective components or subassemblies of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic machines or systems (shafts, clutches, brakes, transmissions or speed reducers, pumps, bearings, worm gears, pins, brake shoes, seals, couplings, reservoirs, and other machinery parts);




- Order parts and repair subassemblies by replacing defective components with parts machined on site or sourced from suppliers;
- Reassemble machine subassembly components, making any necessary adjustments and settings;
- Reinstall subassemblies on machines, align components, and make couplings;
- Make the necessary adjustments and check the operation of the machine or system.
- Provide technical support for production equipment and correct operational problems.
- Perform all required tasks according to department priorities and in compliance with current standards.
- Respond to emergency calls from production (shutdowns, breakdowns, etc.).
- Check and determine the nature of defects and failures in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment in order to specify the scope of repairs to be carried out.

Other Duties

- Perform minor repairs to buildings and mobile equipment.
- Perform temporary repairs to machinery while awaiting major overhauls, the end of the shift, or the end of a production run.
- Adjust belt tension, brakes, and other mechanisms.
- Modify machines according to instructions or requests received.
- Perform complete overhauls of machines and systems during extended shutdowns.
- Repair operators’ hand tools.
- Change hoses, fittings, and valves in pneumatic and hydraulic systems; replace pipe sections,



cylinders, etc.
- Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of projects related to production equipment (packaging and manufacturing).
- Provide support during the start-up and operation of equipment.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff, write the required reports, and ensure that these individuals comply with the regulations and guidelines in effect at the facility.
- Ensure that your workstation is kept clean, in accordance with GMP and workplace safety requirements.
- Tidy up your tools and equipment.
- Comply with safety rules and your supervisor’s instructions.
- Comply with and follow departmental and company rules, procedures, and processes.
- Any other related tasks.

Education: DEC in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience: 2+ years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment.

Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, mechanisms (pumps, clutches, transmission, etc.), reading technical drawings, adjustment.

Physical Abilities: Motor coordination, manual dexterity, valuable close-up vision, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, spatial perception.

Aptitude/Skills: Logical thinking, efficiency, methodical, good work organization, attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex problems and systems, good judgment, analytical, and concerned about the quality of work performed.

Behavior: Teamwork, caution, autonomy, versatility, demonstrate a spirit of collaboration and initiative.
