The client is seeking an Intermediate Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support quality assurance and testing activities for large, complex, business-critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data; executing manual and automated testing; performing data reconciliation and validation; supporting accessibility testing; and working closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other technical teams to identify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and provide input into testing strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and expected test results.
- Plan, organize, and execute testing activities for large and complex business systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments.
- Execute manual functional, integration, system, regression, acceptance, performance, load, and stress testing.
- Perform data analysis, cleansing, conversion, validation, and reconciliation for large and complex systems.
- Test complex business systems involving data, business rules, and images with frequent annual changes.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, and ALM/Micro Focus.
- Work closely with developers and technical teams to reproduce, investigate, and resolve defects.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, OpenText UFT, TestComplete, Micro Focus, Cypress, or Postman.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.




- Develop and execute performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner and assist with identifying performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
- Conduct accessibility testing in alignment with AODA and WCAG 2.0 AA requirements.
- Use accessibility testing tools such as WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, and Compliance Sheriff.

MUST-HAVES

- Strong experience with manual testing for large, complex, business-critical systems.
- Experience developing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and expected test results.
- Experience developing test strategies for complex systems involving data, business rules, and images.
- Hands-on experience with data validation, analysis, reconciliation, cleansing, and conversion.
- Experience with Accessibility Testing in alignment with AODA and WCAG 2.0 AA.
- Experience testing web-based 3-tier applications.
- Robust experience with testing and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, and HP/Micro Focus ALM.
- Experience testing custom and COTS implementations, preferably including IBM JRules Engine.
- Strong understanding of workflow, portfolio management, and rule-driven business solutions.

NICE-TO-HAVES

- Previous Public Sector / Government experience.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise business systems.
- Experience with automated testing and test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, UFT, TestComplete, or Postman.
- Experience with performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases and experience performing backend/data validation using SQL.
- Experience with accessibility tools such as WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, or Compliance Sheriff.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr.
