Key Responsibilities
- Support Examination Coordinators in organizing and facilitating in-class and online tests, mid-terms, deferred and final examinations for students registered with Accessible Learning
- Complete data entry, filing, and record keeping tasks
- Receive, package, prepare, and return examinations
- Track, resolve, and report implementation issues to Examination Coordinators
- Respond to inquiries from students, instructors, and proctors about the exam process
- Communicate exam details to students, instructors, and proctors
- Assist instructors with adding extra time to online assessments in My Learning Space and arrange virtually proctored exams
- Provide evening and weekend examination support
- Respond to proctor issues and connect with instructors regarding examination-question interpretation
- Support students and proctors with comfort breaks and resolve exam-room issues by phone, email, or in person
- Support compliance with exam procedures and respond to suspected integrity violations
- Address unbooked exams, accommodation-change requests, late arrivals, and incorrect exam locations
- Implement crisis-management student support plans, including intervention, contacting Special Constable Service when needed, and documenting events
- Maintain close communication with Examination Coordinators and provide on-call support to proctors
Requirements
- Post-secondary school diploma plus two years related experience
- Works well with others; courteous and professional
- Demonstrated communication and problem solving skills
- Flexible; able to work evenings and weekends
- Excellent attention to detail; able to work accurately and quickly
- Robust computer skills, with comfort and knowledge of adaptive technology
- Able to work well with minimal supervision
- Crisis management and intervention skills are an asset (e.g. Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Asist Training)
- Understanding of need to maintain confidentiality and security of examinations
- Knowledge of university systems and policies is an asset
- Strong organizational and verbal skills
- Knowledge of disability issues
