About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented IT Security Auditor to join their internal audit team in Kimberley . This role is essential for evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's IT security controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You will conduct audits, identify control weaknesses, and provide recommendations for improvement to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute IT security audits, including risk assessments and control testing.
- Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of IT security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Identify control deficiencies and non-compliance issues, and document findings clearly and concisely.
- Develop practical and actionable recommendations for management to address identified risks and improve security posture.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and relevant stakeholders.




- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with IT security best practices, emerging threats, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT auditing, information security, or IT risk management.
- Knowledge of IT control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001) and common IT security concepts.
- Familiarity with auditing techniques and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with auditees and management in Kimberley .
