Experience combines academic learning with practical involvement in mining operations located in the scenic Elk Valley, British Columbia. As a co-op student working for EVR, you will be supported on your qualified journey through mentorship and the chance to engage in significant geotechnical projects. This 8 to 12 month opportunity will expose you to a diverse set of responsibilities including stability analyses, geological mapping, and health and safety compliance.
Your proactive attitude and ability to manage projects will be instrumental in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical assessments and stability analyses
- Assist in geological model updates and reconciliations
- Support ground movement and risk management activities
- Work collaboratively with geotechnical engineers
- Develop innovative solutions to improve operations
Requirements:
- Pursuit of an Undergraduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering
- Class 5 Driver's License with no restrictions
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Comfort working in a dynamic outdoor environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
