Apprentice

Electrician - Edmonton Role Overview As an Apprentice Technician at Konecranes, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our equipment at various customer locations. You will receive comprehensive training and have the opportunity to grow within our company.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all corporate Safety Policies and guidelines/procedures, including Branch Monthly meetings and those established by the customer.

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists. Be available “on call” for after-hours service as part of the service office rotation.

Troubleshooting: Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to identify equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.

Customer Consultation: Discuss repair and safety-related issues with customers, providing recommendations to improve their SAFETY & PRODUCTIVITY. Complete electronic documentation using company digital tools, obtaining customer signatures and acceptance.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on CSA, OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other industry codes or regulations.

Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in safe working order.

Inventory Management: Maintain supply of forms, literature, inventory, and materials in the service vehicle.



Document usage or sales to customers. Associate degree in industrial or electrical/Mechanical Technology with a related field or equivalent experience.

Must possess a good computer, written. Maintain required certification for the role Journeyman Electrician, Millwright or other. Requirement to maintain compliance with all regulatory trainings (e.g. working at heights regulations) Frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights as work takes place outdoors as well as indoors at industrial customer sites.
