The Village of Glendale Crossing has an exciting opportunity for a Kinesiologist Program for Active Living Coordinator to join their Retirement team.

Ongoing training Personal & Professional Growth Opportunities Advantages and access to our Employee Family Assistance Program Vacation Retirement Savings Have a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behavior and exercise rehabilitation Design and implement innovative cognitive and physical exercise programs for residents, both individuals and in groups Collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure resident goals are met Be familiar with completing resident transfer assessments Collaborate with external partners in order to provide exceptional service to our residents Provide leadership and supervision of Kinesiology Co-Op placements, Students and Volunteers who assist with the PAL program Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members It would be an asset if our new PAL Coordinator has: Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation,



regulations and best practices a Experience and/or desire to provide educational sessions/ seminars Demonstrated experience working with seniors and/or persons with cognitive or physical impairments Experience working in the retirement and long-term care sector (e.g.. Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents.

You will work as key members of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their physical care.
