Performs routine laboratory tests under close supervision to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by the client. Read and understand all Must comply with Safety Responsibilities explained in the Safety Responsibility Policy (CA-ADMR-S24). May interface and communicate with clients regarding the relevance, validity, and application of analytical testing performed and data generated.

Maintain compliance with the Health, Safety, and Quality Management Systems requirements. Contribute to the effectiveness of the Management Systems, including improvement of performance and reduction of nonconformities Perform specialized tests and calculations on reservoir and non-reservoir rock and fluid samples in order to derive accurate data necessary to compile reports concerning tests and analyses for distribution to company clients. Set up and operate various types of laboratory equipment in order to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Review data and calculations to assure accurate analytical results. Perform appropriate quality control guidelines in concert with the QA/QC program that is utilized in the department to assure accurate analytical results. Perform other assigned duties to ensure that projects are completed on an accurate and timely basis.

Perform special projects as required or requested by superiors. For example, sample and fluid log-in, project file maintenance, sample cleaning and drying, porosity and permeability measurement, brine preparation, oil cleaning, ageing of samples under oil, liquid permeability measurement, centrifuge operation, oven setup, loading a sample in core holder. A high school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor of Science degree preferred Two years of related experience and/or training preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
