Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton, South Campus Edmonton, and Campus Saint-Jean. The position performs a vast number of duties using heavy, light and small equipment, as well as hand tools and manual labour. These duties include the maintenance and construction of (but are not limited to); hard/soft landscaping, pond maintenance, furnishings, signs, snow removal, irrigation installation and repair, pruning, special event set up and take downs,
miscellaneous task and daily repairs/maintenance on equipment used for each task listed above.
This position also includes a variety of delivery and procedures that call for adjustments in work schedules to achieve objectives. Due to the array of tasks that are required to be completed daily, majority of the day is spent outside of the department. It is crucial that operators are alert, use caution and have explicit visuals of all hazards and safety concerns that can occur when working within large crowds and onsite traffic.
The position also calls for quick adaptability and responsiveness to last minute requests or situations that may arise.
