Role Description This part-time, on-site Language Arts Teacher role is based in West Vancouver, BC. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging language arts lessons that support individual student needs, focusing on reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary development, and critical thinking. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, adapting materials to different learning levels, and maintaining clear communication with students and families.





The role also involves collaborating on curriculum alignment with school standards and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and academic achievement.

Qualifications

- Experience teaching Middle School learners and adapting instruction for varying developmental stages.
- Proficiency in Language Arts, including reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis.
- Demonstrated Teaching skills, with the ability to design engaging lessons and manage small-group instruction.
- Curriculum Development abilities, including creating or modifying educational materials to meet learning goals.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Education, English, or a related field; teaching certification is an asset.
- Experience in tutoring or small-group instruction and familiarity with differentiated teaching strategies.
- Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment and uphold professional ethics.
