Health is looking for a Laundry Worker to join the Laundry and Linen team at Heiltsuk Hospital in Bella Bella, BC. As a Laundry Worker you will operate domestic and non-domestic washers and dryers and perform laundry duties such as sorting, folding and weighing linens.

Bella is a beautiful island community off the central coast of British Columbia, 690 km north of Vancouver.

Hospital in Bella Bella has 7 acute beds, 7 long term care beds and a 4-bed emergency department open 24/7, along with Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging services. There is a medical clinic and a pharmacy located in the hospital. Grade 10 plus recent related experience in a commercial or industrial laundry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
