Role overview

RBC is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst for Risk and Compliance.

The role focuses on IT risk, compliance processes, governance, and audit readiness across the enterprise.

The position covers Enterprise Architecture, Technology Innovation, Source Code Management, SDLC, and System Testing.

Responsibilities

- Analyze the IT Risk Management Lifecycle across risk identification, impact assessment, and monitoring.
- Document enterprise-wide IT standards and identify compliance gaps and remediation strategies.
- Coordinate compliance requirements and standards application across business lines.
- Develop business requirements for risk management policies and compliance procedures.
- Recommend compliance dashboards and reporting infrastructure for executives and stakeholders.
- Conduct compliance requirements analysis and resolve blockers for technology projects.
- Research AI and machine learning technologies for risk identification and compliance.
- Review audit effectiveness and recommend process and governance improvements.
- Liaise with stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies to define business solutions.

Must-have Qualifications

- 5–7 years of experience in business analysis,



risk management, or compliance operations.
- Strong experience documenting complex business processes across multiple departments.
- Understanding of IT risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with compliance tools, audit workflows, and reporting platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to translate technical risks into business recommendations.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

- Certifications such as CISA, CISM, or IIBA CBAP are nice to have.
- Experience with SDLC and IT architecture frameworks is nice to have.
- Experience analyzing compliance across multiple business lines is nice to have.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies is nice to have.
