Empower school-age children with the Developmental Disabilities Association as a Lead Child and Youth Worker in Brock Junction. Support their learning and social skills development in a part-time role. In this permanent part-time position, you will oversee an enriched program aimed at school-age children, particularly those requiring extra assistance.
Working
Monday to Friday, with opportunities for full-time hours during school breaks, you will leverage your strong interpersonal skills, behavior management training, and a background in related studies. This role is essential for promoting an inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging learning activities
- Support children's social and emotional development
- Provide direct assistance to children needing extra support
- Collaborate with educators and parents to ensure success
- Maintain a secure and inclusive program environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in related studies, or a relevant degree
- 1 year of direct experience with school-aged children
- Strong team building and interpersonal skills
- First Aid/CPR certification; Class 5 Driver's License
- Criminal Record and medical clearance required
