Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life

Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:



This job is physically demanding, the incumbent will be required to assist with lifting, turning, and mobilizing patients as well as other physical tasks. Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required.

Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting. Basic computer skills are required. Candidates are required to write a medication calculation exam on interview. Failure to achieve a passing mark on the exam may impact decision to hire.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with assessment for signs of delirium and nursing interventions an asset. Experience with performing CAM assessment and CC behavioral charting/documentation an asset. Two years previous orthopedic and surgical experience preferred. IV, PCA, Epidural, Drains and Wound Care experience preferred. Experience with monitoring of Central Lines preferred.
