Position Posting Lifeguard/Instructor (2 Positions Available) Term of Employment: Full time, Continuing Rate of Pay: Band 2: $24.85 - $27.12 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Maintain the safety of pool patrons, providing necessary supervision and protection for swimmers, in accordance with recognized Lifeguard procedures. Educate the public regarding policies and procedures related to patron safety. Monitor patron activities in the swimming pools to prevent accidents and injuries.

Enforce facility rules to maintain safety and proper use of facility and equipment. Maintain the order and proper conduct of people using the facility. React to emergent situations; Maintain public and staff safety.

Perform daily maintenance duties and pool maintenance duties.



Maintain the attention of the children. The position works shifts consisting of early mornings, daytimes, evenings and weekends. The ability to work weekends is required.

National Lifeguard

Award (NL). Swim for Life Instructor. Ability to maintain physical standards required of the National Lifeguard Certification; Flexibility to work daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

Satisfactory Criminal Record

Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check. Applicants with international education will be required to include an Academic Credential Assessment with application.
