Role Description The Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring shipments across Canada and the United States, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with drivers and dispatch, maintaining accurate shipment and inventory records, and resolving logistics issues as they arise.
The Logistics
Coordinator will communicate regularly with customers and internal teams, providing updates, managing documentation, and supporting specialized and time-sensitive deliveries.
This role also involves analyzing route efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and adhering to company safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills and familiarity with Supply Chain Management to plan routes, optimize loads, and support operational decision-making.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication abilities to coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams, and to document logistics activities clearly.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to respond to inquiries, handle issues professionally, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Candidates should possess experience with Inventory Management, including tracking shipments, maintaining records, and supporting warehouse or yard operations.
- Relevant skills such as proficiency with logistics or transportation management systems, basic MS Office skills, and knowledge of North American freight regulations are beneficial.
- Previous experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics coordination and a diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field are considered assets.
- Ability to work on-site in Winnipeg, MB, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
