Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for MAINLINE EXCAVATOR OPERATORS to join our UNDERGROUND DIVISION for the 2026 season. This position is a full‑time seasonal role and offers competitive wage with benefits.

Responsibilities

- Strong working knowledge of excavators and the ability to safely operate
- Perform pre/post trip inspections and general preventative maintenance of the equipment
- Understand and utilize various shoring methods and safe excavation practices such as shields, boxes, air shoring, hydraulic shoring, and slide rails
- Understand and implement proper rigging techniques
- Work collaboratively with crewmembers and subcontracted trucks to complete work in an efficient manner.
- Ability to keep machine tracks clean using a track shovel
- Understand and safely implement proper rigging techniques

Qualifications

- Valid Class 5 Driver's licence
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Valid Ground Disturbance 201 Standard training (Alberta) is an asset




- Valid Confined Space Monitor/Entry training is an asset

Pay Scale $32 - $42 per hour based on experience.

Successful candidates must have a driving record free of major infractions, and must pass a medical/fitness exam, as conditions of employment.
