Vancouver Coastal

Health is looking for a Maintenance Worker 5 to join the Plant Maintenance team at Bella Bella Medical Clinic in Bella Bella, BC. As a Maintenance Worker at Vancouver Coastal Health you will: Perform trades duties approaching the journeyman level in a variety of trades’ areas such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and welding. Perform maintenance and repair duties related to buildings and equipment and perform mechanical and electrical repairs to equipment and systems.

Participate on the Rapid Response Team and as a member of the Maintenance team. Act in various capacities, supporting maintenance in general terms. Act as a customer service advocate, accelerating the resolution of customer concerns.

This position may require inter-site work assignments, and working in a support role to trades personnel. This work is framed within VCH’s commitments to our pillars of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti‑Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary Health.

Bella

Bella is a beautiful island community off the central coast of British Columbia, 690 km north of Vancouver. Grade 10, plus four (4) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Class 5 Driver's License is required.
