As a key member of the Service team, the Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1 plays a vital role in keeping our rental fleet and customer equipment operating safely, reliably, and effectively. Complete quality assurance inspections to ensure equipment is safe, complete, and in proper working condition.

Test and operate construction equipment, assessing condition and identifying damage or issues. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and routine servicing. Maintain and update required documentation, inspections, and data entry accurately.

Mechanical Experience: Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and experience doing preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter changes, breaks, lines etc.

Apprentice Mindset: Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel.) Experience with Systematics and labor tracking systems would be an asset. A strong commitment to safe work practices, environmental responsibility, and Battlefield’s health and safety policies.

Customer Service Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued.

Experience Operating Forklifts A technical understanding of CAT equipment would be considered an asset. Ownership of personal tools is required for the role.
