POSITION: Maintenance Technician - Power Engineer REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager Compensation commensurate with education and experience Permanent - Full Time We provide full-service contract manufacturing, bottling, and packaging solutions for gummy natural health products, supporting clients from concept through launch. Our Maintenance

Technicians play a critical role in keeping all components of the production facility and production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. This role requires shift work. 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights every 2 weeks.

Production equipment is maintained in safe and efficient working order. Preventative maintenance tasks are completed consistently and accurately documented. Maintenance work areas remain organized, clean, and compliant.

Continuous improvement opportunities are identified and supported. Safe and efficient operation of the organization’s boiler units through regular operational activities, maintenance, and inspection. Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment.





Maintain all types of equipment through a preventative maintenance program and log all details into a CMMS database. (welding/cutting; Maintain HVAC systems, water softener systems, chiller units and other utilities. Focus on Continuous Improvement to streamline work processes. Perform all other maintenance duties as required.

Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on boilers and related machinery. Maintain a logbook of daily activities such as operations, maintenance, test results, instrument or computer interface readings and equipment malfunctions. Adjust controls and valves on equipment or computer terminal to regulate boiler operations.

As a shift power engineer, responsible to conduct required activities outlined in section 22 of the PEI Power Engineers Act Regulations. Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as needed to meet business, operational, quality, safety, or regulatory requirements.

Experience in a large-scale GMP, meat or food manufacturing or processing environment is preferred. Willingness to work set shift schedule including nights, weekends and overtime as required. Must be able to wear all required personal protective gear. Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

Experience with electrical, HVAC and chiller systems would be considered an asset.

Experience exposure to moving mechanical parts Experience exposure to excessive noise and some hazardous materials.
