The Wholesale Financial Close
Controller team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to be a part of the Controller organization’s transformative journey towards becoming trusted and valued business partner delivering Financial Results in an entirely new way through best in class people, processes and innovation. Lead and support the financial close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results while maintaining a strong control environment and reporting requirements Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, processes and accounting standards while maintaining solid governance and controlsReview, analyze and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions Drive transformation of financial close activities through process optimization, centralization, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled solutions. Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, partnering with cross‑functional teams to implement solutions.
Lead and support strategic projects and organizational transformation initiatives. Manage and develop teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
CPA designation or equivalent finance experience is considered an asset. Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge and practical experience applying IFRS accounting standards, including expert‑level knowledge of IFRS 15 (Revenue) and IFRS 16 (Leases).
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with SAP FI, SAP BI, or similar financial systems is considered an asset.
Experience with automation, AI, machine learning, or data analytics tools is an asset. Support a culture of innovation - a personal interest in upskilling in latest digital and technology trends Proven ability to work in a team, provide constructive coaching, and foster a positive and rewarding work setting for direct reports, including virtual teams Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
