About The Role

We are seeking a practical, business-minded IT & Business Systems Manager to help maximize the value of technology, business systems, data, and external technology partners.

This role will work across the organization to improve business systems, reporting, analytics, information security, vendor performance, and the overall employee technology experience. The scope of the role may evolve as business and technology needs change.

This is primarily an in office position in Markham, Ontario, with periodic remote flexibility based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Help shape and execute technology and business systems priorities.
- Lead business improvement initiatives involving ERP, CRM, reporting, analytics, and data quality.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, technology options, and practical recommendations.
- Partner with internal teams to improve business processes, system adoption, and decision-making.
- Manage and oversee external IT, software, telecommunications, and cybersecurity vendors, including service levels, priorities, and costs.
- Support information security, access controls, business continuity, and technology risk management.
- Ensure employees have reliable and secure technology tools for office, field, and remote work.
- Manage technology budgets, software licensing, renewals, technology roadmaps, and other priorities as required.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve internal operations and business outcomes.





Required Qualifications

- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT, business systems, or technology leadership.
- At least 3 years of accountability for an ERP platform within a distribution, wholesale, supply-chain, or related environment.
- Hands-on experience working with an ERP system. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or a comparable distribution ERP is highly desirable.

- Strong business judgment with the ability to connect technology decisions to customer service, revenue, margin, efficiency, and risk.
- Experience managing and working with outsourced IT providers, software vendors, and technology partners.
- Experience or strong interest in AI, including evaluating, testing, and applying AI tools to business processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, reporting and analytics, information security, and access controls.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Practical, curious, accountable, and adaptable approach to solving business and technology challenges.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Background Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following environments:

- Business-to-business organizations
- Organizations with complex ERP environments

Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) is a strong asset.
