Our client, an established apparel manufacturer is currently searching for a Director of Operations. They shut down for 3 weeks during the summer and 1 week during the holidays. Oversee all production management to ensure continuous improvement of all production processes.

Maintain our high company standards of quality. Administer efficient production scheduling to balance factory and meet delivery requirements. Manage production staffing levels to maximize production efficiencies and cost compliance.

Reduce costs where opportunities exist without impacting productivity or quality. Manage new product development and made-to-measure alteration processes. Minimize production downtime through continuous preventative maintenance of the facility, machinery and equipment.

Manage all new equipment purchases, including needs assessment, researching options and ROI calculations. Create team spirit through accomplishment of long and short term goals. Degree in Business Management or a related field.

Previous experience in a unionized manufacturing workplace.

Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and AS400 platform (a plus). #
