The team

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Manager, Projects &

- Operations will lead day-to-day administration and key initiatives for HR. Serving as a core operational leader, the manager will oversee HR budgets, facilities, and technology while supporting high-priority strategic goals across the university.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Special Projects &
- Strategic Planning: Drive short- and long-term strategic planning through targeted research, data analysis,



and the development of actionable recommendations that support continuous improvement and operational effectiveness. Partner with the CHRO and HR executive leadership to plan, resource, implement, and evaluate high-priority university initiatives. Lead project follow-ups, coordinate and synthesize executive-level updates, and manage special administrative projects to ensure priorities are effectively advanced and key deliverables are achieved across the division.
- Operational Leadership &
- Administration: Plan, execute, and streamline day-to-day operations across the CHRO office. Acts as the primary contact for high-level confidential matters, assessing issues and sharing key information with senior leadership, university staff, and external partners as appropriate. Participates in department and pan university leadership meetings as needed.
- Financial &
- Budget Management: Direct the department’s financial operations, managing department budget and special project budgets. Oversees resource allocation, and budget preparation to ensure strategic targets and project goals are met.
- Facilities &
- Technology Management: Oversees space planning, capital equipment inventory, physical security, and renovations in coordination with campus partners, ensuring full compliance with institutional policies and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor administrative staff, establishing clear roles, accountabilities, and transparent workflows to foster a high-performing, supportive team environment.

Qualifications To help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications:

- Completion of a post-secondary degree program, preferably in a business-related discipline or related field. A strong background in finance/budget management is preferred.
- A Minimum five (5) years of directly related work experience providing executive administrative support to senior management or executive level, including experience in financial and resources management, financial planning and reporting, general administration of operations, project coordination and support, preferably in a comparable organization.
- Excellent interpersonal/human relations and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and practices;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues appropriately.
- Extensive and demonstrated knowledge in office/business administration, financial functions in public sector finance, including budgeting and financial planning.
- A demonstrated commitment to and meaningful experience with the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion; an understanding of how those principles should inform and shape the work of Human Resources to appropriately build a campus community inclusive of the University's diverse student, faculty and staff population is required.
