Manufacturing

Engineer on our Satellite Systems team at our Montreal office. As the leading global independent commercial supplier of antennas, payloads, and electronics for communication and radar satellites, our team has successfully contributed to hundreds of missions in the past 60 years. With an extensive heritage in a wide range of solutions delivered to customers globally, our Satellite Systems team continues to grow and evolve on the ground and in the stars.

The Manufacturing

Engineer is called upon to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manufacture space products used on state-of-the‑art satellites. As part of a dynamic team, the engineer is responsible for inter‑program cohesion and for the assembly, integration and testing of our space products (AI&T;). From the design phase, through assembly, testing (thermal, vibration, electrical, etc.) and up to the acceptance of the products by the customer, he/she ensures the good quality of the product and the documentation throughout the production chain, within the time and cost limits.

In addition to monitoring projects, the engineer actively participates in the continuous improvement of the various production departments (electronics, composite, antennas, payloads, supply chain, testing). Continuous improvement consists of optimizing or automating tasks, selecting,



evaluating and qualifying new equipment, implementing corrective actions, qualifying new processes/products/subcontractors. He/she also contributes to the implementation and monitoring of the Lean Manufacturing philosophy and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

Working in a constantly evolving environment, the manufacturing engineer is recognized as an agent of change within his/her team. Suggest and implement new technologies such as robots, vision systems, quality control and preventive maintenance tools in collaboration with the engineering and production teams (technology watch) Participate in Technical Overview Boards (TOBs) to ensure production needs are met in the designs Represent the production team during MRBs Maintain, improve and troubleshoot existing production equipment Discussion with the project manager and the client to define the requirements Support production after start‑up Analyze performance indicators of production cells Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with minimum 2 years of experience Good written and oral communication skills in French and English (Contact with customers outside Quebec) Advanced computer skills Experience in composite products Knowledge of manufacturing processes Creative and innovative Interest in digital transformation and artificial intelligence Experience in high volume production Security Clearance and Controlled Goods Program

Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) .
