About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager who will be responsible for the performance of our co-manufacturer network in Canada and the United States, including manufacturing capacity, costs and timelines. In a model where all of our production is entrusted to external partners, this person will play a central role in ensuring that the production plan established by Planning and the S&OP; process is executed reliably, efficiently and at the expected cost.

The Manager will ensure that co-manufacturers have the necessary capacity to execute the production plan within required timelines and will ensure commitments are met to support product availability, launches and company growth. The Manager will also be responsible for manufacturing partner performance, production yields and conversion costs, while working closely with the Planning, Purchasing, Logistics and Quality teams.

Key responsibilities





Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain, you will:

- Manage the relationship, performance and service quality of co-manufacturers in Canada and the United States.

- Ensure execution of the production plan established by Planning and arbitrated through the S&OP; process.

- Translate the production plan into confirmed and sequenced manufacturing slots with co-manufacturers.

- Ensure the required production capacity is available and manage priorities across co-manufacturers, products and launches.

- Anticipate capacity or production risks and implement necessary actions to protect timelines and service levels.

- Review and approve manufacturing yields and material variances, and coordinate required corrective actions.

- Track conversion and processing costs against standards and identify optimization opportunities.

- Lead periodic performance reviews with co-manufacturers on yield, cost, timelines and service quality.

- Contribute to manufacturing agreements and medium- to long-term capacity plans.

- Identify, evaluate and recommend new co-manufacturers to support capacity, reduce risk and support growth.

- Support the setup of new manufacturing capacity, particularly for product launches and U.S. market development.

- Serve as the interface between Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics and the Quality team.

- Collaborate with the Quality team on audits, non-conformances and follow-up on corrective action plans.





- Participate in analyses and recommendations for new products, formats or capacity needs.

- Establish and improve processes, controls and management cadences related to manufacturing operations.

- Supervise, coach and develop talent within the Manufacturing team.

- Ensure work orders, production data and required documents are maintained accurately and on time.

Candidate Profile

- 8+ years in production/manufacturing, with experience managing co-manufacturers or outsourced production.

- Experience in the packaged consumer goods sector, ideally food, beverage or supplements.

- Solid experience managing external manufacturing partners.

- Good understanding of manufacturing yields, material variances and conversion costs.

- Ability to manage production capacity, priorities and timelines in a rapid-growing environment.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and operational decision-making skills.

- Rigorous, high-performing, cost-focused individual.

- Good knowledge of ERP systems - experience with NetSuite, an asset.

- Experience with a multi-site co-manufacturer network, an asset.

- Experience setting up production capacity in a new market, particularly the United States, an asset.

- Bilingual French-English required.
