Eaton Corporation is hiring a Plant Manager for one of their sites in their Electrical Sector Americas (ESA). Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Plant Manager is responsible for leading and directing the daily operations and support services of the Milton Low Voltage Distribution assembly facilities (2 locations within city of Milton).
The Plant
Manager will have leadership responsibility for Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and EHS. This person will develop plant strategy and tactics to achieve the annual profit plan and long-term strategic plan, while fostering a high engagement, inclusive, and continuous improvement culture.
The Plant
Manager will also lead the plant leadership team to deliver Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and growth objectives while embedding the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Eaton Leadership Model. Direct all plant functions including manufacturing/production, order and manufacturing engineering, finance, supply chain, human resources, quality, and continuous improvement. Develop annual objectives for the plant and review with staff managers, employees, and division personnel.
Develop plant budgets, forecast performance, and ensure timely implementation and control. Develop strategic plans for the facility, short term, and long term. Work with both development engineering and marketing in new product designs, coordinating customer requirements with manufacturing cost and feasibility.
Assure prompt and accurate reporting systems on all aspects of plant operations including inventory, labor, and production,
shipping and receiving to monitor performance against plant objectives. Develop and implement manufacturing policies, EBS processes and ensure application to the manufacturing operations. Lead the performance management process and administer compensation, rewards, and recognition plans.
Develop employees through training and engagement initiatives. Assure team members are constantly improving their knowledge of manufacturing processes and in functional competencies. Oversee maintenance of all plant facilities and layouts to minimize downtime.
Direct the staffing, organization, and development of the plant's personnel requirements. Direct the plant safety program (MESH) to minimize accident or injury occurrence and to meet all. Represent the company in community and professional activities.
Maintain an environment in keeping with all applicable regulations and legal requirements. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience leading complex manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic. Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tools relating to materials management.
Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes. Proven ability and successful track record of growing sales, profits, leading operations, and delivering results. Ability to lead business initiatives to drive growth and profitability in a fast-growing business.
Strong business and financial acumen; Product and operations management experience. Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas. An Undergraduate degree is required.
