PWO Canada is a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier for auto manufacturers globally. We are one of five subsidiaries in the PWO AG Group, manufacturing lightweight metal components for the automotive industry.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Manufacturing Process & Systems Engineer to support production operations by driving process improvement and integrating manufacturing systems across the plant. This role bridges shopfloor production, engineering, maintenance, and IT to improve efficiency, stability, and data-driven decision making, with primary focus on stamping operations and support of other manufacturing areas as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve cycle time, reduce scrap, and increase equipment uptime
- Support troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and identify root causes of systemic issues
- Define shopfloor data requirements and support implementation of reporting and IIoT solutions
- Develop and improve production KPIs, dashboards, and visibility tools
- Support integration and commissioning of new equipment and systems
- Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, maintenance, and IT to align processes and systems
- Supports MES systems, production reporting tools, and data collection strategies to ensure accurate representation of actual production conditions.
- Assist in translating shopfloor needs into technical and data system requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or possess equivalent manufacturing experience.

Knowledge and Skills: Strong practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably stamping and/or welding, continuous improvement,



and manufacturing systems integration is required. Knowledge of CIP, TPM, structured problem solving, cycle-time optimization, waste reduction, equipment uptime improvement, production data collection, reporting systems, MES, and IIoT concepts is required. A foundational understanding of automation, sensors, and machine connectivity is highly valuable.

Strong analytical, written, oral, and cross-functional communication skills are required.

Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with shopfloor production, engineering, maintenance, Tool Room, and IT teams; translate operational needs into technical or system requirements; communicate findings clearly; and support implementation of process and digital solutions.

Nature and Length of Experience: 3 - 7 years of experience in an engineering role in a similar automotive production environment is preferred.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000
