Position Overview
We are looking for a creative, confident, organized, and tech-savvy Events & Marketing Coordinator / Intern to join our team ASAP.
This is a hands-on role that will work closely with and report directly to the Marketing & Events Manager, providing day-to-day support across marketing, social media, events, communications, and administrative projects.
The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and is excited by the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of projects. No two days will look exactly the same. You may be creating social content in the morning, helping prepare for an event in the afternoon, and assisting with event execution that evening.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in marketing, events, hospitality, social media, content creation, and event coordination while working directly alongside experienced leadership.

Key Responsibilities
This position will work closely with the Marketing & Events Manager and will be an integral part of supporting the department's day-to-day operations.
- Taking direction from the Marketing & Events Manager and assisting with priorities across marketing and events.
- Working in collaboration with golf team & restaurant team
- Working in collaboration with banquet captain, servers & bartenders on event days
- Helping manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Taking ownership of assigned projects from concept through completion.
- Bringing current ideas and creative solutions to the Marketing & Events Manager.
- Providing updates on assigned projects and flagging any issues or upcoming deadlines.
- Being flexible and willing to take on new responsibilities as the needs of the business evolve.
1. Marketing & Content Creation
- Assist the Marketing & Events Manager with the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Create engaging social media content including posts, stories, reels, photography, and short-form video.
- Help develop creative concepts and content ideas that showcase The Rise, The Edge, Dantes, the golf course, events, and the Okanagan lifestyle.
- Draft social media captions, promotional copy, event announcements, email newsletters, and other marketing communications.
- Assist with creating graphics and promotional materials using Canva, Adobe, or other design platforms.
- Assist with photographing and filming events, dining experiences, golf, and other content opportunities.
- Help maintain and organize digital marketing assets, photography, video, graphics, and promotional materials.
- Monitor social media channels and assist with responding to comments, messages, and guest inquiries.
2. Events Administrative Support & Coordination
- Work closely with the Marketing & Events Manager to support the planning and execution of weddings, corporate events, golf tournaments, community events, concerts, and other special events.
- Assist with event timelines, guest lists, seating plans, menus, signage, event materials, and other logistical details.
- Assist with event setup, execution, and tear-down as required.
- Assist with maintaining event calendars, marketing schedules, contact lists, guest information, and other organizational documents.
- Assist with client emails, answering questions leading up to events and updated event food & beverage orders.
- Support guest experience and hospitality during events by providing a friendly, professional, and welcoming presence.
- Assist with event-day communication and troubleshooting to ensure events run smoothly.
- Assist with other projects and tasks as needed to support the Marketing & Events department.

Desired Background
- Experience or education in marketing, communications, event planning, hospitality, business, or a related field is an asset.
- Knowledge or experience with social media marketing and content creation is desired.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, videography, or video editing is an asset.
- Experience with events, hospitality, customer service, or administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with email marketing, Microsoft Office, event management software, or digital marketing platforms is an asset.
- A valid driver's licence is an asset.
