A career within Deals Corporate Finance will provide you the opportunity to deliver innovative deal solutions to our clients, providing advice and support, from initiation through to deal completion. As an Intern, you’ll work as part of a team of professionals, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will play an essential role as part of a team working on a particular transaction (sale, merger and acquisition (M&A;) and/or financing) or in business development efforts (pitches). Conducting thorough research on companies and industries, supporting the team in the preparation and presentation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clients, assisting in the preparation of internal and external marketing materials (teaser, confidential information memorandum (CIM), management presentation, etc.), obtaining needed information from available client data and conducting appropriate financial analysis, preparing financial models to support analysis in proposals and transaction documentation, identifying key strategic & financial buyers and managing the transaction’s status reports and more.

Enrolled in post-secondary education and pursuing a business/commerce degree with a specialization in finance Preference will be given to students entering their third year of study An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends,



an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work Progression toward a finance or accounting designation Relevant work experience in professional services – accounting, commercial banking, or investment banking would be an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint) and Capital IQ Comprehensive financial and accounting skills and understanding of cash flow, financial modelling and valuation methodologies A keen interest in M&A; including but not limited to a basic knowledge of the standard M&A; process and an understanding of key local investors A proactive and dedicated self-starter who is quick to learn and apply new concepts with a demonstrated ability to be creative and effective in issue resolution Ability to take initiative to manage numerous projects simultaneously under time constraints We'd love it even more if you’re bilingual in English and French, however this isn't a requirement.
