Our client is an international consulting firm that is hiring for a Mechanical Designer in Ottawa. They support project portfolios for federal government, commercial, institutional, labs, and light industrial clients. Designing and engineering mechanical building systems for recent and existing buildings.

The Mechanical

Designer is hybrid based in Ottawa. This position requires security clearance, as this role will be supporting government projects.

Office Policy: Hybrid (Must be local to Ottawa for site and client visits in the local area) Carry out mechanical building systems design and engineering projects for multiple sectors (government, commercial, institutional, labs, and light industrial) Detailed design, coordination,



verification and design of various mechanical building systems projects Ensure client satisfaction throughout projects Survey existing installations in the Ottawa area Analyze, design and adapt building-related installations Write specifications and technical reports Provide assistance in regards to site supervision Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering. ~3-7+ years of experience in a consulting firm with building projects. ~ Solid knowledge of Ontario/Canadian building codes, construction practices, and permitting processes. ~ Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken. ~ Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. ~ High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality. #
