Intermediate Mechanical Designers | Detailed Equipment Design | 10-12 Month Contract | Multiple OpeningsAgilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Mechanical Designer in the Engineering / Industrial Equipment Design / Manufacturing in MIssissauga, Ontario.
This contract opportunity is ideal for mid-level Mechanical Designers with strong 3D parametric modelling experience who can contribute immediately to detailed equipment design, fabrication drawings, and engineering deliverables within a collaborative project workplace.
Total rewards:$45.00 - $55.00 hourly

A typical day:
- Produce detailed mechanical designs, models, layouts, and fabrication drawings
- Develop 3D parametric models and detailed component drawings
- Design mechanical equipment, mechanisms, and subsystems for industrial applications
- Review drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, material selection, and design intent
- Prepare engineering design packages for review and project execution
- Select standard components and equipment to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Support design reviews, equipment installation, retrofits, and field activities
Successful candidates will have:
- Possess 4 to 12 years of mechanical design experience within an industrial environment
- Demonstrate detailed equipment design experience for fabricated or manufactured products
- Utilize 3D parametric modelling software such as Solid Edge, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, or CATIA
- Create detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings using industry best practices
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) principles effectively
- Use 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Understand welding practices and interpret welding symbols on drawings
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and project deadlines
