Shape the World Around You – As a Mechanical Designer, you will contribute your technical expertise to impactful, multidisciplinary projects that support safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining, metals and industrial infrastructure systems. You’ll design and collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that help communities and industries thrive.
This position will play a key role in the design and optimization of the layout design of heavy industrial projects across the subsector. This position will be located in our Sudbury, Ontario office. For decades, we’ve provided expertise ranging from economic studies and detailed engineering to procurement, commissioning, site management, and mine closure.
Prepare 3D models and layout general arrangements for existing plant upgrades and new facilities; College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent; ~8+ years experience in mechanical engineering design specifically with experience in layout design for heavy industrial and/or mining projects; ~ Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, and piping installation requirements in the field; ~ Proven experience with AVEVA E3D, Plant3D, Revit, Microstation, SolidEdge and SmartPlant; ~ French language skills (written and verbal) an asset; ~ Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform design engineering; ~ We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
