Our client is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer focused on manufacturing process improvement to join their facility in Kimberley. This role is central to enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing operations. You will analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement innovative mechanical solutions and automation strategies.

The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement and possess a strong technical background in manufacturing environments within the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, throughput, and quality.
- Develop and implement innovative mechanical solutions, including automation and tooling upgrades.
- Design, test, and commission new machinery and process equipment to support production needs.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes and provide necessary training.
- Utilize CAD software for designing modifications and new process equipment components.
- Monitor process performance, collect data,



and provide regular reports on improvements and key metrics.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software and a good understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Experience with automation technologies, robotics, and PLC systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
