Mechanical Estimator – Special Projects Ocean Park Mechanical (OPM) is one of the premier design-build mechanical contractors of Western USA & CND, with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and British Columbia. Specializing in value added engineering and design-build projects, our goal is always to build the most efficient systems for the best value possible. The Mechanical

Estimator prepares bids for special projects for institutional and commercial tenders with a focus on tenant improvements, tilt-ups, hospitals, and schools.

Estimator reports directly to the Lead Equipment Purchaser/Estimator. Competitive base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 CND per year D.Company paid advantages including Extended Health, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D;, Critical Illness, EFAP ~ 500 per year to direct towards a Health Spending Account or a Personal Spending Account ~ Three (3) weeks’ vacation ~ Corporate events Maintain,



update & improve the estimating software Stay up-to date with materials and labor cost Pass projects over to Project Mangers in detailed turnover sheets Assist Project Coordinators with change orders Piping take off ability is mandatory with sheet metal take off desirable but not mandatory Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical estimating or a combined estimating/project management role Proven experience with civil infrastructure or large-scale residential/commercial construction projects. Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;

Experience working on high-rise, institutional, or complex mechanical system projects Proficiency, Bluebeam, or other design/modeling software Familiarity with reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and construction documentation Red Seal Plumbing, HVAC certification, or Computer InformationSystems considered an asset Diploma in Computer Information Systems Proficient in Trimble and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Autobid maintenance and building database for take-off based on mechanical specifications Problem‑solving skills and the ability to think and react quickly under pressure Service‑oriented approach in working with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and different personality types We place a high value on equity, diversity and inclusion.
