Reporting to the Operations Leader or designate, cleans, decontaminates, assembles, wraps, sterilizes and distributes straightforward and complex medical devices, equipment and linen related to the Operating Room and other areas of the hospital and provides case cart system to the Operating Room.
Performs related clerical duties. Testing may be required. A criminal record check may be required The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. Reporting to the Operations Leader or designate, cleans, decontaminates, assembles, wraps, sterilizes and distributes simple and complex medical devices, equipment and linen related to the Operating Room and other areas of the hospital and provides case cart system to the Operating Room.

and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff. Successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing course One year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.

supplies and equipment used within the Operating Room, Nursing Units, Endoscopy Unit (at designated sites) and other designated areas of the hospital by following prescribed procedures using manual and mechanical techniques.
Checks, assembles, packages, sterilizes and distributes medical devices, supplies and equipment including procedure trays used by the OR and Clinical Units. Maintains an effective OR request system by responding to urgent requests from the OR for additional items required during surgical procedures. Performs clerical duties as required such as answering the phone and record keeping.
