The Logistics
Coordinator role provides customer support and coordinates order processing for domestic and international shipping and receiving. Serve as a liaison between Order Management, Thermon affiliates, customers, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and operational efficiency. Adhere to established shipping and receiving procedures to ensure accurate and compliant transaction processing.
Prepare, compile, and maintain shipping documentation,
including invoices, packing lists, test reports, certificates of conformance, and other customer‑or quality‑related documentation. Provide support to the Order Fulfillment Manager and Shipping/Receiving Supervisor by assisting with departmental initiatives and operational requirements as needed. Perform company‑related pickups and deliveries in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
Accurately record shipment information, including weight, freight charges, available space, damages, and discrepancies, to support reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements. Evaluate shipping methods and transportation routes to identify options that minimize environmental impact and support sustainability objectives. Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers to arrange shipments and communicate shipping and delivery requirements.
Investigate and resolve shipping‑related issues, including damages, shortages, and non‑conformances, through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain compliance with company safety policies and procedures while ensuring work areas remain clean, organized, and safe. Assist with freight inspections, floor checks,
and loading activities as required to support operational needs.
Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by management. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in order processing, order fulfillment, logistics, or a related field. Forklift certification and operating experience are considered an asset.
Valid
Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with a clean driving abstract. Strong knowledge of domestic shipping processes, terminology, and documentation requirements.
Experience with international logistics, customs requirements, and export documentation is preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet Thermon's operational and performance objectives. Perform computer‑based work for approximately 6 to 7 hours per day. Communicate by telephone and other communication methods for up to 2 hours per day.
Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Perform company‑related pickups and deliveries in support of operational requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
