The Medical Radiation

Technologist (MRT) is responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) services in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. This full-time position involves producing high-quality images that aid Radiologists in making accurate and timely diagnoses. The MRT must adhere to the standards and objectives of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA), ensuring competent and effective imaging practices.

The role requires robust technical skills and a focus on delivering excellent patient care through accurate imaging.



You will need to work independently to perform all types of radiology and CT procedures in accordance with NTHSSA policies and procedures and governing bodies. You will need to coordinate and manage the day-to-day CT workload and have specialized knowledge of Radiology and an be able to use varied types of diagnostic equipment.

The successful incumbent will receive a $10,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $10,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months. The salary range for this position is from $49.68 per hour to $59.35 per hour (approximately $96,876.
