As an Underwriter, you will play a key role in evaluating group insurance risks, supporting sales activities, and contributing to the profitability and long-term success of the business.

Oversee the preparation of group insurance quotations, renewal pricing, and requests for modifications. Support the development of junior and intermediate underwriters through coaching and mentoring. Collaborate with the Group Underwriting Manager to ensure underwriting tools and approaches support profitable business growth while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Demonstrates leadership skills and a commitment to quality. Possesses strong communication and relationship-building skills.



Holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or an equivalent field.

Has 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Group Insurance underwriting. Has a solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced level of French proficiency is an asset, as the incumbent could be required to prepare and review group insurance quotations, participate in renewal presentations, communicate with French speaking clients, advisors, and business partners, and collaborate with stakeholders on a regular basis.
