This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member of Product Staff based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape products at the intersection of artificial intelligence and scientific discovery.

You will help define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for products designed to accelerate rigorous scientific research.

Working across product, engineering, research, and leadership teams, you will turn complex ideas into practical product capabilities.

The environment is remote-first, fast-moving, and built around high ownership, curiosity, and rigorous thinking.

You will work on challenging problems where requirements are often evolving and the path to a solution is not always defined.

Your work will directly influence how researchers interact with advanced AI systems and emerging scientific technologies.

This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong product leader who enjoys ambiguity, deep problem-solving, and building from first principles.

Accountabilities:

- Shape product direction: Define, refine, and evolve product capabilities across the platform, ensuring that product decisions align with the broader mission and address meaningful challenges in scientific research.
- Own product planning and prioritization: Build and maintain product roadmaps, prioritize features, manage releases, and balance technical constraints, user needs, and strategic objectives.
- Partner with leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure product vision and priorities respond to important research challenges and contribute to advances in scientific discovery.
- Translate complex concepts into execution: Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to turn high-level research concepts into actionable specifications, user stories, and well-defined product requirements while managing the day-to-day backlog.
- Drive continuous product improvement: Take deep ownership of the vision, strategy, roadmap, and ongoing evolution of your product portfolio, using feedback and evidence to guide iteration.
- Create organizational alignment:

Maintain clear and consistent communication across teams, ensuring stakeholders understand priorities, progress, decisions, and changes in direction.
- Promote operational excellence: Establish strong documentation, alignment practices, and execution rhythms that support efficient collaboration and high-quality product delivery.

Requirements

- Product management experience: 5+ years of experience successfully shipping technology products as a Product Manager, with a strong understanding of modern product management principles and practical application.
- Technical education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, providing the foundation to engage confidently in technical discussions and evaluate engineering trade-offs.
- Product strategy and execution: Demonstrated ability to develop product roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, manage backlogs, coordinate releases, and translate strategic goals into effective execution plans.
- Technical aptitude: Familiarity with software development processes and engineering best practices, along with a working understanding of AI/ML concepts and data infrastructure.
- Strategic and analytical thinking: Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous problems, connect product decisions to broader objectives, and make thoughtful trade-offs when requirements or solutions are not clearly defined.
- Communication and collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, engineering, research, and leadership functions.
- Startup adaptability: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment where priorities evolve quickly and individuals are expected to take significant ownership.
- Relevant domain exposure:

Experience with foundational or frontier AI products, physics, fundamental science, or an early-stage startup environment is a strong advantage.

Advantages

- Opportunity to work on foundational problems at the intersection of AI and physics.
- High-trust, low-bureaucracy environment with meaningful individual ownership.
- Remote-first work with flexibility in how you structure your working day.
- Exposure to cutting-edge developments across AI, scientific discovery, and emerging technologies.
- Culture centered on curiosity, rigorous thinking, depth, and first-principles reasoning.
- Opportunity to contribute to technology aimed at advancing fundamental scientific discovery.
