Express Employment Professionals – Surrey/Langley is hiring for a Metal Shop Labourer in the Gloucester area of North Langley (264st‑52 Ave). Our client is a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Industrial Flooring/Grating and Expanded Metal Products in North America. The role involves joining the plank production lines and working in a clean, safe environment where employees’ safety is prioritized.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key responsibilities:

- Fabricate and manufacture a variety of items, including strapped steel walkways and bar grating.
- Cross‑train on a large break‑press/shear to pre‑p weldable product for shipping or stock.
- Continuously learn and grow with the company; versatile to learn new tools, such as grinders and saws.
- Read tape measurements to the nearest 1/16 of an inch and use QC tools such as squares.





Requirements:

- Reliable transportation (no bus route).
- Must have own high‑ankle steel‑toe boots; PPE is supplied by the workplace.
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch and use other QC tools.
- Comfortable working in a noisy environment.

Working Hours

- 7:00 a.m.–2:40 p.m., Monday–Friday (paid lunch; 20‑minute early leave counts as part of the 8‑hour day).
- 2:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday – 4 shifts of 10 hours.

Compensation

Pay is $22 per hour plus 4 % vacation pay.
