Henderson & Lee Law Corporation is looking for one mid-to-senior level solicitor to join our growing legal team in British Columbia.

Over the years, Henderson & Lee has served individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and corporations in a broad range of legal matters. As our solicitor practice continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced lawyer who has established experience in Corporate and Commercial Law and/or Estate Planning and who is interested in developing a long-term practice with our firm.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a solicitor who is motivated, professional, client-focused, and capable of handling legal matters independently. The successful candidate should have mid-to-senior level experience practising law in British Columbia, with a primary practice in one or both of the following areas:

Corporate and Commercial Law, including areas such as:

- Incorporations, reorganizations, and corporate maintenance;
- Shareholder and partnership matters;
- Purchase and sale of businesses;
- Commercial agreements and transactions;
- Corporate financing and related matters; and
- General business and commercial legal advice.

Estate Planning, including areas such as:

- Wills and estate planning;
- Powers of Attorney;
- Representation Agreements;
- Trust and succession planning;
- Estate and incapacity planning for individuals and families; and
- Estate planning involving privately held businesses or more complex family assets.

Experience in both areas is an asset, but candidates with strong experience in either Corporate/Commercial Law OR Estate Planning are encouraged to apply.

Building Your Practice with Henderson & Lee

We expect our lawyers to take an active role in developing their own professional careers. You should be comfortable managing your files independently, maintaining strong relationships with clients, setting professional goals, and gradually developing and maintaining your own clientele.

At the same time, you will not be expected to build your practice alone.





Henderson & Lee provides comprehensive support in client intake, legal assistance, practice management, marketing, client relationship development, technology, and administrative operations. Our lawyers work collaboratively and regularly share their knowledge and experience with one another.

A substantial portion of our existing client base has connections with the Chinese-Canadian community, including individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and businesses with both local and international legal needs. We are continuing to expand our client base within other communities and welcome lawyers who are interested in developing a practice within their own professional, cultural, or language networks.

Chinese language ability is not required. Our legal support team is able to communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese English, and other languages, which can provide valuable assistance to lawyers serving clients from diverse backgrounds.

What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate should:

- Be a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia;
- Have meaningful experience practising Corporate/Commercial Law and/or Estate Planning in British Columbia;
- Be capable of independently managing solicitor files and communicating directly with clients;
- Demonstrate sound legal judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail;
- Have strong interpersonal and client relationship skills;
- Be self-motivated and interested in developing a long-term legal practice;
- Be comfortable working within a collaborative legal team;
- Have a working knowledge of modern digital filing systems and legal practice-management software; and




- Be willing to learn and adapt as technology continues to change the practice of law.
