Part-Time Position Type: 6:15 AM- 14:15PM, 37.5 hours Bi-Weekly, second weekend to work Competitive salary, and benefits; Extended Health Benefits & Retirement Savings Loans and Scholarships to help our team members realize their greatest potential As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) joining our Village, you will: Maintain current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Deliver safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy, quality and meeting our residents’ quality of life requests. Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses and able to identify and report any changes in the resident’s well-being to the Charge Nurse or Village leadership team.

Have an understanding of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the Long-Term Care sector, including the Fixing Long-Term. Care Act, 2021, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OSHA) of Ontario. Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents.

Work as a key member of our Village and Neighbourhood multidisciplinary team to understand residents’ individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care, support new resident move-ins, facilitate transfers to hospital, or any changes in resident medical needs. Collaborate with the Neighbourhood Physician during weekly rounds and update care plans and directions accordingly. Have proficient communication and computer skills in order to update care plans in the current system.
