Occupational Therapist, Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en Primary Care Centre at First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). The role supports primary health care services and traditional wellness services for First Nations people in a culturally safe setting, working with an interprofessional team to provide assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions that promote optimal health. it is intended that the role may transition to a permanent position with The Healing House. The Wilp D’Mootxw – Nec’a Yikh “The Healing House” Primary Care Centre aims to integrate family and community supports within a no barriers to care model.

The Occupational

Therapist delivers services in line with COTBC standards, collaborating with the interprofessional care team and contributing to education, consultation, and quality improvement initiatives. Provide assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions to support patient health and functional outcomes. participate in research, special projects, and quality improvement initiatives. Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists is an asset.



Minimum two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in various field and programs.

Experience in community interventions and coordination or service plans is an asset.

Experience working with individuals, families, and community organizations.

Experience working with First Nations communities is preferred.

The pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for full time hours; Internal compensation follows the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
