As an Occupational Therapist with DMARehability, you will assess client needs, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, and support clients in achieving greater independence and participation in their daily lives.
Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments in community, home and workplace environments. Developing and implementing evidence-informed treatment and rehabilitation plans. Supporting clients with acquired brain injury, musculoskeletal injuries and other complex rehabilitation needs.
Recommending equipment, assistive devices and environmental modifications where appropriate. Collaborating with clients, families, employers, insurers, physicians and other healthcare professionals. Preparing timely, high-quality clinical documentation and reports.
Registration and good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), or eligibility for registration. Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program. A client-centred and collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
Ability to work independently within a community-based practice model. Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community-based work, as required.
Experience in community rehabilitation, auto insurance, acquired brain injury, functional assessment, catastrophic injury, disability management or return-to-work is an asset. Recent graduates and internationally educated Occupational Therapists who meet Ontario registration requirements are encouraged to apply.
