Join Monarch House as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and implement interventions for children with autism in a community-based setting. This part-time role focuses on treatment plan execution and patient engagement. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will carry out plans designed by a Registered Occupational Therapist for clients with developmental challenges.
Your work will involve communicating with families, preparing educational materials, and creating a positive setting to support young clients. This role requires you to actively track progress and maintain safety at all times. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate session progress to families and supervisors
- Implement therapy treatment plans effectively
- Prepare teaching materials and organize environments
- Create a positive, engaging atmosphere for clients
- Track client progress through data collection
Requirements:
- Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
- Authorized to work legally in Canada
- Community-based experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year as an OTA preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
