Role Description The Operations and Logistics Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and availability of oilfield equipment across multiple facilities. This position manages day-to-day logistics activities, including coordinating shipments, optimizing transportation routes, and ensuring accurate inventory levels for sales, leases, and rent-to-own agreements. The role involves collaborating closely with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to align equipment availability with client demand and project timelines.

The Operations and Logistics Manager is expected to implement and improve operational processes, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role also includes leading and coaching operations staff, resolving logistics issues, and supporting strategic planning to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Responsibilities

- Operate and manage yards, inventory, and equipment across multiple sites — hire labour as needed to keep work moving




- Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery, pickup, and deployment
- Maintain, upkeep, and grow existing inventory and storage yards
- Conduct regular inventory counts and visual inspections at sites across Alberta and Saskatchewan
- Keep strong communication with operations on every job and travel as required to meet customers and manage inventory

Qualifications
- Oil and gas industry experience required
- Experience with fabrication and refurbishment — preferably with tanks
- Manufacturing experience
- Contractor position — must have your own vehicle
- In-office or in the yard Monday to Friday, 8–10 hours per day

- Strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills, with experience coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Proficiency in Inventory Management, including tracking stock levels, forecasting needs, and optimizing equipment availability across multiple locations.
- Knowledge of Procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimization related to equipment and services.
- Customer Service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients to resolve operational and logistics inquiries.
- Relevant experience in operations or logistics within the energy, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Ability to analyze data, use ERP or inventory systems, and make decisions that improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and support cross-functional teams.
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to equipment handling and energy operations.
