Position Summary The MKS Operations Officer supports the day-to-day activities of the Market Solutions Operations team. The team operates under a transversal model covering four core activities:
- OTC derivatives processing
- Listed derivatives clearing
- Liquidity management
- Foreign exchange operations
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely automatic upload and/or manual input of derivative transactions (IRS, CDS, OTC options, inflation swaps, etc.) into internal systems, in line with market and client cut-off times.
- Reconcile positions with Portfolio Managers and counterparties, investigate reconciliation breaks and booking discrepancies, and ensure prompt resolution.
- Validate cash movements on internal accounts, reconcile cash balances, investigate differences and perform the necessary controls to support accurate day‑to‑day liquidity management.
- Identify and escalate potential liquidity issues, unusual balances or operational risks in a timely and structured manner.
- Monitor trade feeds from exchanges (e.g. CME, ICE, Eurex) and perform regular position reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Track and manage lifecycle events (expiries, exercises, assignments, maturities) and resolve rejected, missing or unmatched transactions in coordination with markets, clearing houses and internal stakeholders.
- Confirm the economic details of foreign exchange transactions in accordance with client instructions and internal procedures (currencies, amounts, value dates, counterparties, settlement instructions).
- Monitor contract expirations and other key lifecycle events across derivatives, ensuring accurate reflection in systems and reports.
- Confirm transaction details with counterparties and clients,
maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational risk control.
Supplementary Information
The successful candidate will process, monitor, reconcile and control financial transactions while ensuring compliance with operational procedures, client instructions and market cut-off times. The officer will collaborate closely with Traders, counterparties, clearing brokers, custodians and internal departments to ensure the accurate and timely completion of operations.
As part of the team’s cross-training model, the officer will progressively develop the knowledge and autonomy required to provide coverage across multiple MKS activities.

- Experience in investment operations, derivatives, clearing, custody, fund administration or another financial-services setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives, listed derivatives, foreign exchange, settlements, reconciliations or cash management is an asset.
- Understanding of the trade lifecycle and the operational risks associated with financial transactions.
