Part‑Time Community‑Based Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Weekends, Durham The Care Company is a home health care company with a purpose to create A Better Life for Those at Home . Working at The Care Company you will be part of a growing company that is helping seniors live well in their own homes.

Available for 12‑hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, with flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred. Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans. Provide companionship and light housekeeping to help clients stay at home.

Assist clients with all activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker. Assist clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises. Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a car for daily work.

Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas; travel to rural/remote areas is an asset. Effective verbal and written communication in English.



PSW certification from an approved and recognised educational institution or international nursing/doctorate certification.

Negative TB test completed within the last year. Valid CPR/First Aid certificate. COVID vaccination receipts, subject to exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code. Immunisation for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and diphtheria required; Hepatitis B immunisation strongly urged.

Valid Criminal Record

Check completed within the last year. Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed. Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) registration is an asset.
